Held on Sunday 17th May 2026 at the Horbury Working Members Club
On Sunday 17 May we gathered at Horbury Working Members Club to present our annual
Spring Bids Awards to the 17 successful bidders listed below. All winners are solely or
heavily dependent on volunteers for the delivery of their service and commitment to the
community and encompass a wide variety of interests from 4 years old majorette troupes to
dementia care and carers, and Junior Football to cancer care.
The presentations also incorporated the award by President David Greenwood of his
Presidential grants to The Resource Centre, Ossett, and St Georges Lupset Foodbanks, and
to Horbury Victoria Brass Band. Thanks were given to the 8 th Wakefield Scout Group and the
West Yorkshire(South) Girl Guides for their support to raising funds by helping with the 2025
Santa Sleigh.
