Mosquito net provision and installation was commenced in 2009 by the school,financed 50% by the Rotary Club of Horbury and Ossett Phoenix, along with a few smaller donations. For background and a description of what we actually did, please see ‘mosquito net project 2009’ in main menu. The supply of nets was continued in 2010, again supported by a generous grant from the Rotary Club and others. 200 nets were supplied, this time concentrating on the under 5’s in the school and surrounding area(since this is the most vulnerable group). It is proposed that this will become a regular activity in the future, subject to adequate funding, which not only enhances the reputation of the school, but hopefully will also reduce  the incidence of this killer disease.

One net for £5 can protect not only those sleeping under the net, but also, due to its chemical impregnation, the rest of the sleeping family
