Webmaster Becomes a Paul Harris Fellow

Congratulations to our webmaster Jonathan Siddall on the award of a Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition of his over 17 years service to his community, Club and Rotary. President Nick Hunter presented the award to Jonathan at the Clubs Ladies Night Dinner and Dance on Friday 14 June 2010, when he said,

Congratulations to our webmaster Jonathan Siddall on the award of a Paul Harris Fellowship in recognition of his over 17 years service to his community, Club and Rotary. President Nick Hunter presented the award to Jonathan at the Clubs Ladies Night Dinner and Dance on Friday 14 June 2010, when he said, “ Jonathan is one of the founder members of the club and from its very earliest days has played a major role in club communications, initially as bulletin editor and producer and in more recent years as our webmaster – developing and maintaining our two superb websites www.phoenixrotary.co.uk and www.horburyshow.co.uk . Why the websites have never won RIBI  District 1040  Awards I do not know”.
President Nick further stated that Jonathan has also served as Chairman of the Community and Vocational Committee, and as a permanent member of the Horbury Show Committee,  first as stalls booking manager and later dealing with stalls logistics. In addition he is one of those club members that invariably put his hand up when volunteers are requested to perform some of the less attractive tasks. He has put an enormous amount of time and effort into the Rotary Club of Horbury and Ossett Phoenix and to describe him as a stalwart of the club in some ways seems to devalue his significant contribution.
